"Life really is wonderful right now!" Ruri said, looking up with a smile as he walked beside Uchiha Itachi.
"You think life is good right now? I certainly don't!" Uchiha Itachi said to Ruri beside him after hearing his words.
"Oh? Why do you say that?" Ruri stopped and turned to look at Uchiha Itachi.
Seeing Ruri stop, Uchiha Itachi stopped as well, turned toward him, and said, "Don't you think peacetime is incredibly boring? Besides, we're so strong now, but we have nowhere to show it! I really wish we could head out to the battlefield and fight!"
"Oh, so that's what you think. Being strong doesn't mean we have to be bored. There'll always be somewhere for us to show what we can do. Are you really that eager to fight on the battlefield?" Ruri asked, frowning at Uchiha Itachi in front of him.
Uchiha Itachi looked up at the sky, smiled softly, and then said to Ruri, "Yes! Isn't surviving on the battlefield the reason we make ourselves stronger? Isn't it so we can go out there and fight?"
"Besides, all I want right now is to fight on the battlefield. Only then can I find out whether I really have what it takes to stand up to others. Fighting other people can also show me where my shortcomings lie!" Uchiha Itachi said to Ruri.
"Yes, fighting other people can show you your shortcomings, but being so single-minded about fighting isn't a sensible choice! Besides, you've never experienced war. You don't know how frightening and horrific it is!"
"A lot of people die on the battlefield. When someone's family member dies there, their family grieves, and some people become orphans after losing their families! You'll see all of that on the battlefield!" Ruri said, looking at Uchiha
