Before Ruri could make a move, the beast suddenly sensed killing intent coming from behind it and quickly turned around.
Once the beast turned its head, it discovered that Ruri was preparing to finish it off with a kunai.
But now that the beast had suddenly noticed Ruri's killing intent, it quickly adjusted its stance and readied itself for battle. Its eyes fixed on Ruri as though it wanted to tear him apart alive.
"Oh, you spotted me. In that case, let's have a proper fight!"
"Let's see who's stronger, you beasts or us humans!" As he spoke, Ruri's eyes sharpened, and the kunai swiftly left his hand.
After leaving Ruri's hand, the kunai flew toward the beast at lightning speed.
But to Ruri's surprise, when the beast saw the kunai flying toward it, it showed no intention of dodging at all.
Yet just as the kunai was about to strike the beast, it darted aside in an instant, dodging the kunai Ruri had just thrown.
"Whoa, you actually dodged my kunai! I really underestimated you. Looks like you're no ordinary beast!" As he spoke, Ruri quietly activated his Byakugan and carefully examined the chakra inside the beast.
"Damn, you've got so much chakra inside you! I really have no idea what kind of monster you are!" Ruri exclaimed in surprise after discovering the enormous amount of chakra within the beast.
An animal possessing such vast chakra could only mean that the beast was extremely powerful, or that it had abilities far beyond those of other beasts.
If the beast was old enough, it would also have a great deal of chakra inside it. More importantly, a wild animal with this much chakra would ultimately become a menace if it could not be put to his own use.
