"Ruri, how much longer do you think it'll take us to reach the mission site? We've already been traveling for over an hour!" Uchiha Itachi said as he raced alongside Ruri.
After hearing Uchiha Itachi's words, Ruri turned to look at him and said, "I don't know either, but I feel like we should be pretty close!"
Uchiha Itachi nodded after hearing Ruri's reply. Then he continued racing forward with Ruri.
In Konoha-no, I should say in the Hokage World-the skill I admire most is being able to run without ever feeling very tired, no matter how much you run, and having stamina far beyond that of ordinary people, Ruri thought as he ran at full speed.
If someone in my previous life had possessed this skill, I think they would have been very famous.
Just then, however, Ruri had already spotted those glinting things around them.
"They really won't leave us alone. It looks like they've surrounded us this time, and there seem to be quite a few of them!" Although Ruri had spotted the enemies, he did not report it to Kakashi and the others.
Since the enemies had not attacked Ruri and the others yet, Ruri did not want to let them know that he had already spotted them.
Just then, though, Ruri quickened his pace and reached Kakashi's side in an instant.
"Captain, it looks like we're surrounded by enemies!" Ruri whispered to Kakashi when he reached his side.
Kakashi frowned slightly upon hearing Ruri's words. Without turning to look at Ruri, he merely whispered, "Is that so? They really won't leave us alone! But even so, what can they do to us?"
"Captain, I just took a quick look, and it seems they've brought quite a few people this time. About thirty or forty!" Ruri
