I have to say, this enemy really is a little cold. He's different from those enemies just now, and the ones I ran into the last few times. I get the feeling he has some strength of his own, and quite a bit of it, too! Ruri turned to look around him as he thought.
Just as Ruri had said, this enemy really was different from the enemies he had encountered the last few times. This enemy was stronger than those previous ones and could even last a few minutes against Ruri.
"Prepare to die, brat! This is how you end!" A thunderous shout suddenly rang out from all around Ruri.
Before the voice had fully rung out, shuriken and kunai were already shooting at Ruri from every direction. These ninja tools hurtled toward him at tremendous speed.
"Oh, the same move again? Why can't any of you learn your lesson?" Ruri was not particularly surprised to see the ninja tools flying toward him. He merely smiled faintly, then drew his short blade, ready to block.
Soon, the ninja tools were right in front of Ruri. He swiftly swung his blade, knocking down all the shuriken at the front.
As for the kunai behind the shuriken, Ruri had no intention of catching them all, so he simply tilted his head slightly and easily dodged them!
But just after Ruri dodged those kunai, a faint stinging sensation traveled from his face to his brain.
When Ruri straightened his head, a shallow cut had appeared on his face, and blood flowed from it.
"I didn't expect steel wire tied to the ninja tools, especially the kind that's so hard to spot. That really couldn't have been easy!" Ruri wiped the blood off his face with his hand, then spoke with a smile.
