Is there a problem?

Word came that the senior officials attending the talks would arrive in the village in three days.

This was completely different from what the Third Hokage and Minato had told him earlier.

But Ling Feng understood.

Senior officials had already been ambushed by Kirigakure once. They could not let the same thing happen again so soon.

That was why the gathering time for the talks had changed. Only a few core members responsible for security likely knew about it.

Such as Ling Feng and the Sannin.

There were still three days left.

Just enough time to train and try to improve once more.

Through his battles with the Sannin, Ling Feng had gained a wealth of practical combat experience. He could spend these three days absorbing it all.

Ling Feng still had 380 points in his account.

Then he checked the item prices in the System Shop.

The intermediate versions of the Sharingan, Byakugan, and Sage Body all cost 5,000 points. He probably would not be able to afford them anytime soon.

It seemed that once this security assignment was over, he would have to complete more missions as quickly as possible.

After that, Ling Feng looked at another distinctive type of constitution in the Naruto world: kekkei genkai.

It cost 1,000 points.

This was a miraculous power that could only be inherited through blood and genes.

The Uchiha Clan and the Hyuga Clan were examples.

The Sharingan and Byakugan were the two most famous kekkei genkai in the shinobi world.

The reason was simple. These two clans were large, with many members who possessed kekkei genkai.

Anyone with the original bloodlines of these two great clans could obtain the Sharingan or Byakugan.

Generally speaking, a kekkei genkai could not be taken from someone directly. It could only be passed down through bloodlines and genes.

As for Kakashi and Danzo in the future, their circumstances were exceptional.

So obtaining a kekkei genkai for 1,000 points was quite a bargain.

Unfortunately, Ling Feng did not currently have enough points to exchange for another kekkei genkai.

His most pressing concern was still finding a way to earn points.

With that in mind, Ling Feng began to look forward to his next system mission.

The last system mission had awarded 300 points. He expected the next one to give around 500.

Three days passed in a flash.

That day, Ling Feng completed his morning training as usual. When he returned to his starting point, the Konoha Sannin were all there, waiting for him.

"Hm? This isn't where we're supposed to meet, is it?" Ling Feng raised an eyebrow.

Seeing signs that Ling Feng was getting annoyed, Jiraiya hurried forward to explain. "Our teacher told us to come here and discuss the security operation."

"You can decide. I'll follow orders."

Ling Feng waved a hand, plopped straight down, and began to rest.

It wasn't a battle plan. What was there to discuss?

If an emergency actually came up, couldn't they just fight?

Besides, Ling Feng had never been particularly fond of operations involving teamwork.

What he pursued was the pinnacle of strength-pure individual power. Teams meant nothing to him.

Just look at Madara Uchiha and Kaguya Otsutsuki. Truly top-tier fighters never needed many teammates.

Either of them alone could plunge the entire shinobi world into its gravest crisis.

Hearing Ling Feng's response, Jiraiya sighed helplessly.

"Forget it. He wouldn't understand our tactical plans anyway."

Orochimaru spoke from the side.

After fighting Ling Feng, he had realized that the boy was actually quite strong. Five was an age when children were naturally headstrong and difficult to handle. Getting him to agree to follow orders was already no small feat.

But Tsunade was not happy.

As Hashirama Senju's most beloved grandchild and his only granddaughter, she had been showered with affection in Konoha.

All her life, no one had dared act so brazenly in front of her.

Even the Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi spoke to Tsunade with a measure of courtesy. After all, she was a direct descendant of the Senju Clan.

Yet she had never expected an orphan like Ling Feng to be so arrogant.

Of course, Tsunade admitted that Ling Feng really was strong.

But she was not willing to sit by and let him keep acting so arrogantly.

"I'm telling you, letting that brat Ling Feng join us was a terrible decision to begin with. Don't you think?"

Tsunade spoke up.

Jiraiya and Orochimaru both froze at her words.

How could they not know what Tsunade meant?

"But our teacher ordered it. We can't refuse, can we?" Jiraiya said, scratching his head.

Tsunade glanced at Ling Feng, who was resting nearby, then punched Jiraiya on the head. A large lump immediately swelled up.

"Idiot! I don't mean we should kick him out! I mean we should make him understand that we're not to be messed with!"

Holding his head, Jiraiya said aggrievedly, "Haven't we already tried that? I feel like that brat still has a trump card up his sleeve!"

"Hmph! We won't fight him this time. We'll let that kid go looking for trouble himself!" Tsunade chuckled.

While Jiraiya stood there looking bewildered, Orochimaru began to smile too.

"Hey, hey! What are you two smiling about?" Jiraiya was utterly confused.

"Let's listen to Tsunade. I'm sure she already has a plan," Orochimaru said.

Before long, Tsunade laid out her plan.

The outcome was obvious: a plot targeting Ling Feng took shape.

The reason behind it was very simple. They wanted to take Ling Feng down a peg.

When the three finished their discussion and came over to Ling Feng, each did their best to hide their amusement.

Ling Feng looked up and raised an eyebrow. Clearly, he had noticed something off about the three standing before him.

"What is it? Is there a problem?" Ling Feng asked.

All three shook their heads in perfect unison. "No, nothing."

That... clearly meant something was going on!

It seemed the Konoha Sannin, renowned throughout the shinobi world, were not very good at lying.

Ling Feng stared straight into their eyes, looking from one to the next.

He kept staring until cold sweat broke out on all three of their foreheads.

"No problem? Then what's your plan? Where am I guarding?"

Ling Feng finally spoke, letting the three breathe a sigh of relief.

"I'll tell you once we get there. We have three hours before the talks begin, so we can leave now."

Orochimaru spoke.

Jiraiya was already too rattled to say anything.

Hearing this, Ling Feng nodded. "Then I'll head over first."

Once Ling Feng's figure disappeared from their sight-

"Phew..."

A series of relieved exhalations followed.

"I don't know why, but looking into Ling Feng's eyes gave me a really strange feeling. It was like three pairs of eyes were staring at me."

Jiraiya wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.

Tsunade and Orochimaru also nodded slightly in agreement.

"That brat is impossible to figure out!"

"Let's go too. We need to get there before he does."

With that, Tsunade left the Training Ground with Jiraiya and Orochimaru.
