[Sign-In System binding...]
Chiba slowly awoke from his deep sleep, his head feeling heavy.
"Wasn't I sleeping at home?"
Looking at the unfamiliar surroundings, Chiba couldn't figure out what was going on.
Strange decorations surrounded him, and an odd smell hung in the air.
But as memories flooded in, the corner of Chiba's mouth twitched.
"A giant toad? Mount Myōboku?!"
"This is the world of Naruto?!"
Although Chiba wasn't a hardcore anime fan, he was very familiar with Naruto.
The memories in his head told him that he was on Mount Myōboku, in the world of Naruto.
And his name here was also Chiba.
But a giant toad had found him and brought him back to Mount Myōboku. Beyond that, he knew nothing.

[Beginner quest: Check in at the temple deep within Mount Myōboku. Successfully meeting Gamamaru will count as a successful check-in.]
[Quest reward: Perfect Sage Mode]
Chiba wasn't particularly alarmed. A cheat ability was standard equipment for anyone who crossed into another world. Still, his cheat ability seemed to come with a rather unusual start. The reward was certainly powerful, too. *Perfect Sage Mode... that should put me on the same level as the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, right?* Chiba shook his head and put those thoughts aside. His immediate priority was to finish this beginner quest. "Gamamaru... if I remember correctly, he should be the Great Toad Sage of Mount Myōboku." Meeting the Great Toad Sage was no easy feat. Even with Chiba already on Mount Myōboku, it would still be incredibly difficult. **Creak-** The sound caught Chiba's attention. He turned to look and saw two short toads walk in. "Kid, you're awake!" Shima sounded a little surprised. "The youngsters outside found you and brought you back. You've been asleep for five days!" Beside her, Fukasaku added: "This is Mount Myōboku, the legendary sacred land of sages!" Chiba showed little alarm, only curiosity. "Then are you sages?" To complete his check-in quest, he would have to resort to a few less-than-ideal measures. Shima nodded earnestly, shamelessly claiming the title of sage for herself. A look of excitement appeared on Chiba's face. "If you're sages, then you must know where Gamamaru is!" At those words, Fukasaku and Shima nearly choked on their own spit. As the Great Toad Sage's trusted aides, how could they not know who Gamamaru was? But how did this kid know the Great Toad Sage's name? Fukasaku's expression immediately turned grave. "Where did you hear the name Gamamaru?" Looking bewildered, Chiba replied: "A voice told me in a dream earlier." His appearance made his deception all the more convincing. A child of only five or six posed no danger whatsoever. Besides, the confusion in Chiba's eyes didn't look feigned. Shima pulled Fukasaku aside and whispered: "Pa, what do you make of this?" Fukasaku looked conflicted as well, unsure of the best way to handle it. "We can't take anything involving the Great Toad Sage lightly." "I'll go ask him myself!" With that, Fukasaku left the dwelling and headed deeper into Mount Myōboku. He returned only a few minutes later. Now, however, his expression was distinctly strange. "Kid, the Great Toad Sage would like to see you." Shima seemed to realize something, but said nothing. A hint of joy appeared on Chiba's face, genuine this time. *As long as I meet Gamamaru, the check-in quest will be complete!* Given Chiba's physical condition, Fukasaku had him ride his toad mount to the temple deep within Mount Myōboku. At his first glimpse of the Great Toad Sage, Chiba made no attempt to hide his shock. The sage's enormous body sat high above them, a gleam of wisdom flashing in his half-closed eyes. "Chiba, was it?" "I cannot see your fate clearly, nor have my dreams offered any guidance." There was not the slightest trace of emotion in his calm words. "But I sense that your every word and deed will influence the course of the entire shinobi world." Chiba was a little surprised. The Great Toad Sage certainly lived up to his reputation; his prophetic ability was truly formidable.

A vast amount of information flooded into his mind.
Chiba could also feel streams of strange energy continuously transforming his body.
The Great Toad Sage, who had been lounging lazily until then, suddenly opened his eyes wide.
His enormous toad eyes took up almost his entire face, even pushing his other features aside.
"Th-this... is this fucking natural energy?!"
As the Great Toad Sage of Mount Myōboku, Gamamaru couldn't have been more familiar with natural energy.
Yet when these energy fluctuations came from Chiba, they felt unfamiliar in a way he couldn't describe.
Beside him, Fukasaku and Shima exchanged glances, each seeing terror in the other's eyes.
Did we bring back a monster from outside?!
"Ma, how long has this boy been on Mount Myōboku?"
Fukasaku swallowed, his mouth feeling dry.
Shima, standing opposite him, wasn't doing much better. Her slit pupils stared blankly at Chiba.
"If I remember correctly, it's been five days?"
As her words fell, both toads turned their eyes toward Chiba, who was immersed in natural energy.
"So this kid really is a monster, isn't he?!"
