At the invisible center of the black hole.
Yun He hovered there without moving, his eyes closed as he sought enlightenment.
He had entered a state of sudden enlightenment.
The instant he slipped into that state, he successfully comprehended his own domain.
As his comprehension deepened.
His domain continued to advance.
First level.
Second level.
Third level...
Until finally, it reached the ninth level.
Then he crossed the threshold of the law of light.
After coming to this world.
Yun He sometimes wondered, If I'm lucky enough to become an Immortal someday, or even a Universe Venerable or Universe Master, what sort of pinnacle technique or ultimate technique will I create?
Will the technique I create become renowned among all the races of the universe, becoming my hallmark?
And which laws will I study?
Fusion laws?
Or will I follow the normal law path?
When he stayed at home, he let his imagination run wild between cultivation sessions, dreaming up all sorts of possibilities. Since he had the original story as his foundation, he had set his sights far into the future from the very beginning.
All sorts of wildly imaginative ideas surfaced.
Only to be rejected one by one.
Until just now, when he found his answer.
The instant he immersed himself in the law of light, all his ideas converged into one final possibility.
One perfected skill can take you anywhere.
Why create so many miscellaneous techniques?
One powerful finishing move is enough.
Rather than creating a new technique every time I reach another level.
Why not settle on a single direction from the start? Then, as my strength grows, the power of my technique can keep growing with it. Wouldn't that be better?
And so, the prototype of his future technique emerged.
A black hole!
A black hole could devour everything.
It was the most massive celestial body in the universe; no celestial body could escape its gravitational pull.
A black hole swallowed light and sight. It warped space and time.
By the time you realized you were trapped inside a black hole, it was already too late.
Yun He's inspiration came from black holes.
Using his ninefold domain as the foundation, along with his genetic origin energy's light-devouring properties, he formed the shape of a black hole.
Then he incorporated the trace of the law of light he had just comprehended, creating the small black hole before him, ten meters in diameter.
Of course, it only looked like one for now. Everything was still in its infancy.
In the future, he also planned to incorporate all ten origin laws of the universe into it, forming a true, supermassive black hole.
This was the goal he would strive toward over the endless years to come.
It was also the path he would follow.
This technique.
He named it: Mixed Hole.
A black hole that combined laws and devoured everything!
In Yun He's vision.
This technique.
Could serve both offense and defense.
Once unleashed, the Mixed Hole could act as a domain, trapping enemies. Once they were trapped inside, he could deal with them at his leisure.
He could also use the Mixed Hole's strangulation force to injure his enemies.
Most importantly, he could envelop himself with it for protection. Enemy attacks would have to pass through the Mixed Hole's layers of devouring force and be weakened before they could strike his actual body.
So offense did not really matter. Defense was the key.
Yun He believed that once no one could break through his defenses, he would be invincible.
That was perfectly normal, and entirely logical.
Yun He remained immersed in his insights, using his sudden enlightenment to deepen his understanding of the law of light while incorporating it into the Mixed Hole and refining his ideas.
He had no idea that his actions had once again caused an uproar among the major powers around the world.
The underground base beneath his feet was in utter chaos.
Many people began packing their belongings, preparing to evacuate before the black hole swallowed the base.
A blood-red triangular fighter streaked through the sky toward the No. 9 Ancient Civilization Ruins in South America.
At the same time, the major powers around the world dispatched their own fighters, rushing toward the No. 9 Ancient Civilization Ruins.
Inside the Primordial-Level Intelligent Fighter Jet.
The black-clad Hong, his personal guard Yao Rao, and Inspector Liu He sat on a sofa.
The three-dimensional virtual screen before them displayed live surveillance footage of the black hole above the No. 9 Ancient Civilization Ruins.
All three stared at the footage in silence, their brows deeply furrowed.
They had originally set out because Yun He had spent an entire year inside the ruins. Who could have expected them to suddenly receive news of a black hole midway through their journey?
"We're about to arrive at the No. 9 Ancient Civilization Ruins," Yao Rao said.
Whoosh~
Before long, the Blood-Red Triangular Fighter arrived above the No. 9 Ancient Civilization Ruins. It hovered a thousand meters beyond the reach of the black hole's gravitational pull.
Whoosh~
The hatch opened.
The black-clad Hong flew out of the fighter with Yao Rao and Liu He. They hovered in the air, carefully observing the small black hole in the distance.
The black hole's visible boundary measured ten meters in diameter. Its interior was pitch-black. All light, including any line of sight, was swallowed the moment it entered that area.
The black hole hovered silently about a hundred meters above the underground base, directly over its entrance.
From the air, they could see the base's staff continually running out through the entrance below and evacuating into the distance.
Judging by the distance, the evacuating staff on the ground should actually have been within the black hole's gravitational reach. After all, it was only about a hundred meters above the ground.
An observant staff member had noticed that the black hole had not swallowed anything on the ground. Not even a blade of grass or a tiny stone had been caught by its gravity. He reported his discovery, and after some bold experiments, they confirmed that, for some unknown reason, the black hole did not capture anything on the ground.
That was how the base's staff came to be evacuating so swiftly, escaping with their lives.
"What's going on? Why isn't the black hole swallowing anything on the ground?" Inspector Liu He asked in bewilderment.
The black-clad Hong returned his gaze to the black hole, his expression turning thoughtful.
This feeling seems... a little familiar!
For some reason, observing the black hole up close gave Hong a sense of familiarity.
It seems a little like my... domain, in certain respects?
Hong was startled by his own thought.
Could someone have created this black hole?
But who on Earth could produce such a terrifying phenomenon?
A visitor from the universe?
Hong's heart grew heavy.
If that were true, they were in trouble.
"Wait here."
Hong's gaze sharpened. After giving that instruction, he slowly moved toward the reach of the black hole's gravity.
"Dojo Master!" Yao Rao and Liu He cried out.
"Don't follow me!" Hong raised a hand to stop them and spoke coldly.
"Dojo Master, let me go," Yao Rao said anxiously.
"Listen. Both of you, return to the fighter immediately. If anything happens to me, leave at once in my fighter!" Hong's tone allowed no argument. With that, he continued slowly approaching the reach of the black hole's gravity.
Yao Rao and Liu He hovered anxiously in the air, refusing to return to the fighter.
Hong moved very slowly, inching forward and probing as he went.
It took him a full ten minutes to cover a mere thousand meters.
Ten minutes later, Hong was extremely close to the reach of the black hole's gravity, less than five meters away.
Just ahead lay a vast rotating circle of light, a thousand meters in diameter.
Once light entered that area, it was caught by gravity, spinning rapidly as the black hole at the center drew it in and swallowed it.
By this point, Hong was intensely nervous. A layer of cold sweat had already formed on his back!
Although he had encountered no danger along the way, he only grew more nervous. The closer he came, the stronger his sense of impending danger became.
Every cell in his body seemed to tremble and scream frantically, warning him of the extreme danger within.
His body's instincts were sounding a frantic alarm.
It felt as though an unimaginably terrifying creature lurked inside the black hole ahead, silently awaiting its prey.
Any living being that dared enter its attack range would be devoured in an instant.
Yao Rao and Liu He watched with wide eyes, their entire bodies tense and cold sweat streaming down their foreheads.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh~!
Just then, three more fighters arrived almost simultaneously.
Whoosh~
A hatch opened, and a bald monk in white robes flew swiftly out of one of the fighters.
"Brother Hong!"
The bald monk in white robes was none other than Thunder God, founder of the Thunder Dojo and the second-strongest man in the world!
Thunder God saw at a glance what Hong intended to do. He shouted and rushed forward, only stopping when he was a dozen or so meters from Hong.
Hong did not turn around. He merely raised a hand to stop Thunder God and said coldly, "It's enough for me to go in alone. Stay outside and back me up."
Thunder God clenched his fists, gritted his teeth, and nodded.
He understood Hong's meaning. They could not both become trapped inside, or Earth would descend into chaos.
Hong took a deep breath, reached out, and slowly extended his hand toward the edge of the black hole's gravitational reach.
"Hong..."
No one dared make a sound. They watched with tension written across their faces.
"Brother Hong..." Thunder God's eyes bulged fiercely, and he bent slightly forward, his whole body like a tiger poised to spring.
