Lin He trapped the Xu patriarch and the fat old man in the Five Elements Reversal Formation, but the Xu patriarch recognized its limits and chose to wait for it to weaken. Lin He decided to attack from within the formation and prepared to fight without restraint.

• Lin He explained that the vulture-faced Xu patriarch might be a Core Formation cultivator using a limited incarnation, then activated the Five Elements Reversal Formation as the enemies arrived.
• The Xu patriarch shattered the formation’s outer barriers with his golden sword, but discovered that successive five-colored barriers replaced them and identified the Five Elements Reversal Formation.
