Lu Yuan defeated Zhao Wuji without killing him and declined a guest-teacher position at Shrek Academy, explaining that he would soon rejoin the Heaven Dou Royal Academy team. Later, Old Tom warned him that a powerful, injured Titled Douluo had nearly captured him after recognizing him, and Lu Yuan hinted that he knew the man’s identity.

• Lu Yuan survived his fight with Zhao Wuji, who admitted defeat and confirmed that the group had passed Shrek Academy’s assessment.
• Zhao Wuji offered Lu Yuan a guest-teacher position, but Lu Yuan declined and said he would return to Heaven Dou Royal Academy with its tournament team.
• Zhao Wuji realized Lu Yuan could become an unprecedented Soul Emperor contestant at the next Continental Advanced Soul Master Elite Tournament.
