Though called the Sevii Islands, it actually consisted of nine large islands and several smaller ones.
This was a land of legends in the Kanto Region, once home to Ho-Oh and Lugia.
Even after the incident at Johto's Burned Tower, people occasionally spotted Legendary Pokémon here.
Each of the seven main islands had its own distinctive features. Four Island, blanketed in ice and snow all year round, was also known to the people of Kanto as "Ice Island."
Rather than the elusive legends of an Articuno living in Icefall Cave, this unassuming island was known throughout Kanto because of one powerful woman.
That was right-this was the hometown of Lorelei, one of Kanto's Elite Four.
The bitterly cold climate meant its population was small even by Sevii Islands standards, with only a dozen or so households.
