The group repacked their belongings, took one last look at the glacier and lake, which had been ravaged beyond recognition, and left.
Just then, Gengar's shadowy outline swept across the ground and slipped into Xia You's shadow with Deoxys, who was "retiring after a job well done," tossing him the Great Ball containing Deoxys. Without even looking, Xia You caught it securely and put it into his waist pouch as though nothing had happened.
Ash and the others walking ahead did not notice, but May and Cheryl, beside Xia You, saw Gengar return the Poké Ball and knew that the Deoxys from earlier must have been Xia You's.
Just as we thought!
Expressions that said they had expected as much appeared on both their faces.
After all, how could an extraterrestrial Pokémon like that possibly appear in the Distortion World? And with that much strength, it could only have been Xia You's!
Only Ash and the others were still in the dark, actually thinking it was wild!
Glancing at the three ahead, the girls said nothing, merely exchanging smiling looks with Xia You.

With Shaymin guiding them, they headed west, leaving the lakeside, climbing a slope, crossing grassland, and passing through a small wood. By daybreak, forcing their exhausted bodies onward and hurrying along, they finally reached their destination.
It was beside another lake, smaller but better hidden.
Before they even approached, they could see vast, lush green beds of wildflowers growing around the water. In the increasingly bright morning light, they could clearly see that the flowers growing there were Gracidea!
Against the green leaves, the red stamens, hung with morning dew, looked so vivid and lovely!
Stretching together in an unbroken expanse, they were indescribably beautiful!
At the same time, beneath the flowers,
