Feeling Cynthia hoist him onto her back startled Xia You, and he immediately realized what she was about to do!

But Xia You wasn't about to take it lying down. The instant his body rose, he wrapped his right arm around Cynthia's back and locked it tight, using his strength to hold himself firmly against her in an attempt to counter the move.
Xia You had never trained in anything. These movements were purely instinctive, and he had no idea whether they would work.
Fortunately, he was strong enough!
Cynthia had only just pulled Xia You over her shoulder when she felt a tremendous force dragging her toward the ground. She hadn't expected him to react so quickly, much less be so strong!
Caught off guard, she pitched forward. Not only did she fail to complete the shoulder throw, but Xia You dragged her down with him.

Two heavy impacts rang out in succession. By the time Xia You gathered his wits, he felt his back hit the warehouse's hard floor!
Fortunately, he'd countered Cynthia's move before she could put any force into its latter half. Although he fell, it didn't hurt nearly as much as he'd expected.
