Although Mewtwo had not opened its mouth, a somewhat androgynous voice suddenly reached everyone's minds.
"I make my own rules. I don't need you humans telling me what to do!"
Brock frowned deeply. "This voice... is it Telepathy!?"
As Mewtwo spoke, it raised an arm and unleashed its psychic powers. The next second, Haixiong was enveloped in Confusion and lifted into the air, his face contorted in pain. When Mewtwo gave another slight wave, everyone watched as Haixiong's body was tossed like garbage into the pool off to one side.
They had only just met, yet a single disagreement was enough for Mewtwo to make a show of force, immediately intimidating everyone present!
Glancing back at Gardevoir, Xia You instructed quietly, "We still don't know why this guy invited me here. We need to stay on our guard!"
Nearby, Ash and the others took out their Pokédexes and scanned Mewtwo, but no matter who tried or what model of Pokédex they used, none could retrieve any information.
"Is this really a Pokémon? Or is it just some kind of... alien creature?"
"You actually dared to attack me!?" By then, Haixiong had struggled out of the water. Glaring at Mewtwo through gritted teeth, he ordered, "Go, Gyarados! Use Hyper Beam!!"
Among his six Pokémon, he had a Gyarados, just as Xia You did. Upon hearing Haixiong's command, Gyarados charged at Mewtwo and opened its mouth. Energy gathered inside it into a beam that shot straight toward Mewtwo!
But as Hyper Beam reached Mewtwo, it calmly raised its left hand, forming an energy barrier. Not only did it effortlessly block the damage, it even reflected the move back at Gyarados!
Struck by its own move, Gyarados was sent flying backward. Following in its Trainer's footsteps, it too crashed into the pool!
