Xia You nearly choked on his own spit.
He looked at Linda in surprise and asked, puzzled, "Why would you think that?"
"Isn't that the case?" Linda countered. "Aren't they your women? They're both beautiful and strong, too. Isn't that how you control them? Otherwise, I can't think of anything worth risking their lives for you."
Xia You froze for a moment, then laughed despite himself.
"What do you take me for? A Villain who wins people over through those methods? A bad guy just like Team Plasma?"
Linda said nothing, but her eyes plainly said, What else? Aren't you?
Apparently, in her eyes, beneath Xia You's dazzling exterior and immense buzz, he was probably an ambitious schemer.
Of course, given how hostile he was toward Team Plasma, he might actually be someone who wanted to be a hero, just like that idiot Charles.
But he had stolen someone else's ship, after all. Even if he had stolen it from bad people, he certainly wasn't a hero with firm principles.
Xia You shook his head and looked at her seriously. "First of all, they follow me of their own free will, not because they're being controlled, much less because I've used some trick on them. Otherwise, they could simply walk away. As for you-"
At this point, Xia You held up two fingers. "I'm giving you two choices now. First, keep staying in this room. I guarantee no one will hurt you, and someone will bring you meals every day. You can move around freely inside the room. After two years, I'll let you leave, and I can even give you a large sum of money as compensation."
"Second," Xia You continued, "become my subordinate and work for me. Likewise, after two years, you can choose to leave."
"Two years?"
