When the battle resumed, Xia You and Gary spoke at the same time.
"Gyarados, use Aqua Tail!"
"Nidoking, Double Kick!"
At their commands, the two Pokémon quickly closed in on each other. But compared to Gyarados, who slithered forward like a snake, Nidoking had a much harder time running across the slick ice.
Once they were within range, water began swirling around Gyarados's enormous tail, while Nidoking leaped up and unleashed Double Kick!
The next second, the two Pokémon clashed.
One of Nidoking's feet had just struck Gyarados, but before the other could move, a sudden rush of wind roared beside his ear. He turned to see a thick tail sweeping straight at his face!
Smack!!
The blow caught Nidoking squarely, sending him crashing heavily to one side!
Before he could get up, however, Gyarados had already slithered over to him again and opened his jaws wide, biting down toward Nidoking!
"Nidoking! Get up, quick!!"
At Gary's shout, Nidoking scrambled up from the ice, aimed the horn on his forehead at Gyarados's gaping maw, and thrust it forward with all his strength!
The horn stabbed straight into the inside of Gyarados's mouth!
Gyarados roared toward the sky in pain, growing even more savage and furious. In an instant, he lost all reason, wildly slamming his enormous body and head down at the Nidoking beneath him!!
Bang, bang, bang!!
Ice chips flew everywhere, and the ice split apart!
After taking several blows, Nidoking saw stars. He was just about to struggle to his feet when another head slam drove him into the ice!
"This is bad!!" Swept up by Gyarados's ferocity, the commentator couldn't help putting himself in Gary's shoes. He cried out, "Gyarados has gone berserk and is actually using Thrash! Can the Nidoking beneath him withstand this savage power!?"
