Xia You stepped lightly, continuing to inch toward Larvitar. But once he got close enough, even his utmost care could not keep him from alerting it.
At the sight of a human, Larvitar startled, then took off running the very next second!

This was one of the few Pokémon from the Johto Region that Xia You liked. Having finally encountered one, how could he possibly let it escape?!
He snapped his fingers. Just as Larvitar had run a dozen meters or so, Charizard suddenly descended from above, blocking its path!
Larvitar looked up at the ill-intentioned expression on Charizard's face. Sensing that this big fellow was not to be trifled with, it hastily gave in to its instincts, changed direction, and kept fleeing!
But before it could take more than a few steps, a Gengar letting out a creepy cackle suddenly poked his head out of the shadow of a rock ahead!
Startled, it hastily changed direction again, only to find that man blocking its way head-on. It turned once more, but ran into another human, a woman!
Now surrounded on all four sides, it truly had nowhere left to retreat!
Xia You wore a smile. Somehow, the scene reminded him of footage he had seen on television of people surrounding and hunting wild boars in a watermelon field.
The Larvitar before him was clearly a little wild boar that had been cornered!
And on closer inspection, their expressions really did bear some resemblance.
Larvitar opened its mouth and made an intimidating sound, seemingly trying to scare Xia You and the others away. But it was simply too small. At only sixty centimeters tall, it looked utterly unthreatening!
Neither Charizard, Gengar, nor Sabrina took it seriously!
