At the end of the long river stood a magnificent mountain. A long flight of stone steps had been built at its foot, and farther up the steps, an enormous mountain gate came into view.
The gate stood four or five meters high, giving off the muted blue-green sheen of stone, and looked as though it weighed at least several thousand pounds. Two enormous stone Charizard statues were carved on either side, facing each other with their claws clasped together, as though they were testing each other's strength, yet also seeming to symbolize friendship.
The two Charizard flew up to the gate and landed steadily.
Kiko climbed off Lisa, walked to the gate, and turned back to smile at the two of them.
"Welcome. Make yourselves at home."
As she spoke, she pressed her remote, and the heavy gate, clearly made of stone, slowly slid open to either side.
Oh, I didn't expect it to be electric!
Beyond the gate lay a vast, lush green basin. Dozens of Charizard were visible inside, resting, soaring, battling, or enjoying Berries.
With Xia You's help, Erika had just climbed off Charizard. At the sight, she could not help remarking, "There really are... so many Charizard..."
Xia You nodded. It truly was a spectacular sight.
It was not that he had never seen wild Charizard before. There were simply so many gathered together that the sea of orange-red everywhere was dizzying.
Hearing the gate open, all the nearby Charizard turned their heads at once and looked over.
These Charizard were all tall and powerfully built, and some bore permanent scars that looked quite fearsome. Under their cold stares, not only would an ordinary person have felt immense pressure, but even Xia You's brow involuntarily twitched.
*To think these Charizard would try to intimidate me
