Chapter 529: Ash tails the girl
Lorenzo continued his explanation. "According to the island's legends, this cathedral and the Solar Tower outside were both built by people long ago out of gratitude to Latias and Latios, who protected this city. The device before you also seems to have been made for peace, but unfortunately, so much time has passed that no one knows how to operate it anymore."
While Xia You and the others listened to Lorenzo's explanation and examined the device, Ash seemed to suddenly notice something. He looked up at the second-floor gallery and saw a red-haired girl painting at an easel. That familiar figure-wasn't she the very girl who had just disappeared from their side?
"It's her!"
Hearing Ash's quiet exclamation, Xia You and the others looked up at the second floor and saw the girl too.
The girl had apparently just finished painting and was packing up her tools. Then she turned and left with her drawing board. Seeing this, Ash somehow found himself following her out.
"Ash!"
Brock called out to him, but when he got no response, he could only sigh helplessly and follow him with Pikachu.
"What's going on?" Misty turned to Xia You. "Are we following him too?"
"Let's go." Xia You nodded. "We all know Ash. He can be a little reckless sometimes, but his ability to trigger unusual events is second to none. If he's leaving in such a hurry, maybe he's discovered something."
Despite saying that, Xia You couldn't help wondering whether the red-haired girl who had just left really was the same individual as the Latias they had encountered earlier.
After all, he vaguely remembered that Latias had taken on a girl's appearance and used that form to show herself before people. Besides, considering the timing, they had
