"Why is there a Latios here?" Misty exclaimed.
Brock's eyes widened too, though no matter how surprised he was, they still fell a little short of a normal person's in size. He nodded hesitantly. "This really is unbelievable, and... he looks so angry!"
"You people!!"
Just as they were studying Latios, an angry shout from a girl suddenly came from behind them. They turned to see a girl who looked exactly like the one Latias had transformed into hurrying toward them.
Holding a drawing board and wearing a white hat, this was the real human girl!
"Huh?"
Ash looked at the red-haired girl blocking their way, then at the girl in the white hat behind them. "Two people who look exactly alike!?" he said in disbelief.
The girl in the white hat glared at Ash. "How did you get in here!? Are you thieves?"
"No, we're not!" Ash hurriedly shook his head. "We're Pokémon Trainers from Pallet Town and other places. We followed this girl in!"
The white-hatted girl swept her gaze over Xia You and the others before fixing it on Ash again. Seemingly remembering how he had tried to strike up a conversation with her earlier, she said coldly, "You're really suspicious. Latios, drive them out!"
Hearing the girl's words, Latios raised his body and was about to attack when an old man's voice came from the side.
"Stop!"
Xia You and the others turned again and saw the guide they had met at the cathedral earlier walking toward them.
The rather round old man approached and said to the white-hatted girl and Latios, "Kanon, Latios, that boy wasn't lying."
The white-hatted girl, whom he had called Kanon, looked at the old man. "Grandpa, but..."
Ben Gray gestured for Kanon to calm down, then looked at Latias. "Latias,
