Director Kusunoki still had things to attend to, and Xia You and the others did not want to keep bothering him, so they left the office and began wandering around the museum on their own.
Since the museum was closed, apart from Director Kusunoki, there was not a single other staff member to be seen in the entire building-not even a basic security patrol!
Yet even under these circumstances, Director Kusunoki dared to let them look around on their own without worrying about anything going missing. Clearly, he was an openhearted, generous man!
Thanks to that, without Kusunoki accompanying them, Xia You and the others felt much more at ease during their visit. They could go wherever they wanted and speak freely, commenting on all the exhibits without having to worry about an outsider being present.
Aside from the exhibits they had just seen, the museum's other displays included, but were not limited to, ocean water quality, soil and sand samples from various ocean layers, and some educational audio presentations.
After wandering around, not only had Max learned a great deal, but even Xia You and the others felt they had broadened their knowledge considerably.
Before they knew it, dusk had fallen outside the windows, making them marvel at how quickly time had passed.
Just then, they suddenly heard a soft click, and their surroundings went dark as the lights throughout the museum went out at once!
"Huh?" Ash looked around blankly. "Is it a power outage?"
"Probably," Misty replied casually, not giving it much thought.
Although the power outage surprised them a little, none of them panicked. After all, while outages were not common, who had never experienced one growing up? Ash alone had encountered at least several during his travels and had long since gotten used to them!
