Compared to when they had first entered the Mansion, Ghost Butler now had more wounds on his body and looked more haggard. Even his formerly neat black butler's uniform was torn in several places, leaving him looking thoroughly bedraggled.
Clearly, Gengar must have given him a thorough beating just now.
It seemed that even though he was a ghost without a physical body, Gengar's attacks could still leave him looking like this.
Although Ghost Butler was also unable to move, he was undoubtedly in much better condition than Ghost Girl. At least he looked perfectly capable of communicating.
"Nice work." Xia You first praised his Gengar, then turned to Ghost Butler. "Can you speak normally?"
He looked up at Xia You, his mouth opening slightly, before finally letting out a sigh.
"What do you want?"
It really was hard on him. Even after becoming a ghost, he still had to suffer threats from others.
"Relax." Xia You gave him a friendly smile, trying to lower his guard. "I mean no harm. I just want to know what happened here. Who or what turned you into what you are now?"
Perhaps he realized he was already a lamb awaiting slaughter, or perhaps he had witnessed the absolute disparity in their strength. After all, the butler had lived for so many years before his death. He knew that this man would never have gone to such lengths to capture him merely to hurt him, so he also knew... cooperating was the right decision.

Rather than answering immediately, he asked a question of his own. "Why do you want to know all this?"

Xia You's answer genuinely surprised Ghost Butler. After staring at Xia You for a long while and pondering for a
