Roark was around twenty-four or twenty-five, with stylish, medium-length red hair and black-framed glasses. He looked quiet and scholarly, but his most memorable feature was the safety helmet he wore for most of the day. Dressed in gray work clothes, he looked like an ordinary coal miner. Whether from exposure to the elements or years spent in coal mines, his skin was slightly darker than most people's.
At that moment, Roark was at the reception desk in the entrance hall, talking to the man they had seen before. When they heard the door open, both looked over.
Seeing Xia You again, the man smiled. "You finally picked the right time. See? Just like I said, you can only find Roark here in the morning. Oh, I forgot to introduce us. This is Roark, the Oreburgh Gym Leader. I'm Yansheng, his assistant and the referee here."
Roark sized Xia You up as well. "So you're the trainer who came twice? Sorry about that. Because of the nature of my work, I can't stay at the Gym all the time. I'm sorry you made two trips for nothing."
To his credit, Roark sounded sincere. He seemed like a genuinely nice person.
Xia You nodded. "It's all right. I had other things to take care of these past two days anyway, so it didn't really hold me up."
Xia You also introduced himself.
That brief exchange concluded, Roark and Yansheng led Xia You and his two companions to the Gym's battle field.
Compared with other places, or other Gyms, the Oreburgh Gym's battle field was utterly unremarkable.
