Chapter Summaries

May lost to Saori in the Kanto Grand Festival final but took second place, and her friends helped her regain confidence before the group set off for Fennel Valley. They reached Brandon’s Battle Pyramid, where an enthusiastic Nurse Joy greeted Xia You and Ash as a fan of their battles.

• Saori outmaneuvered May in the final, and May finished just short of winning despite a strong late rally with Blaziken and Munchlax.
