The downpour Dragonair had summoned had yet to stop. Amid a dragon's roar, a blue-green Poké Ball opened within the sheets of rain. Dragonite's massive body crashed to the ground, splashing muddy water everywhere.
The torrential rain battered Dragonite's orange-yellow body, streaming along the folds of her wings and gathering into rushing rivulets.
In appearance, Dragonite had little in common with Dragonair, unlike Dratini and Dragonair, whose close connection was obvious at a glance.
Her endearingly dopey appearance was quite cute, enough to make people think Dragonite posed little threat.
Yet that seemingly chubby body held terrifying power. Once Outrage was triggered, the destruction Dragonite unleashed would be a catastrophe.
Meownei still stood on the other side of the battlefield. Under the pounding rain, her previously transparent stem became faintly visible, and the Bomb Flower at its tip trembled beneath the downpour.

Compared with the Dratini and Dragonair from before, this Dragonite finally qualified as an opponent.
This Dragonite was not one of the Jade Dragon Gym's old veterans, but she was Long Mingming's longtime partner. On the day Long Mingming was born, a Dratini had happened to hatch in the Dragon's Den.
They had lived together since they were very young, and she was the mainstay of Long Mingming's team.
With her precise control over her body, Meownei adjusted her mask slightly to shield herself from the rain overhead. Her pink eyes locked onto Dragonite through the mask as her opponent flew into the air.
