Seeing yet another profusion of strange phenomena from the Buddhist Kingdom, Xiao Hua could not help frowning slightly. Along the way, the Buddhist Kingdom phenomena within the pagoda had appeared far too frequently, truly running contrary to Buddhism's doctrine that the Buddha-heart held nothing. This space was originally part of the Buddhist pagoda, yet such a restriction had been left at the site of Buddhist consciousness. It was indeed rather contrived. Thus, Xiao Hua's steps slowed with hesitation. After hesitating for only a few breaths, gaps actually appeared amid the sweep of that Buddhist consciousness, and scarlet red flashed within those gaps before vanishing!

Xiao Hua was greatly alarmed. Lightning immediately flickered around his body as he rapidly retreated!

"Rumble..." Amid the thunder, Xiao Hua swept back several hundred zhang. Yet behind him, the pagoda gate through which he had just entered was nowhere to be seen; there was only a space filled with Buddhist light! This space of Buddhist light seemed boundless.

"Roar..." Just as Xiao Hua retreated, a lion's roar arose barely a dozen zhang before him. A gaping, bloody maw that blanketed the entire heaven and earth of Buddhist light emerged from the void. With a tremendous crack, as though the entire world had closed shut, that huge mouth snapped closed before Xiao Hua's eyes! In particular, a powerful suction force arose from that closed bloody maw, intent on forcibly drawing Xiao Hua inside!

Xiao Hua narrowed his eyes slightly and swept his sleeve. A tornado that shot into the heavens arose, blocking the suction force. Amid a series of crisp "crack, crack" sounds, tortoise-shell-like fractures appeared throughout the space several hundred zhang around them. The two gusts were so powerful that they tore space apart. Beyond the shredded space, a ferocious yellow lion's head was revealed!
