Namo Great Wisdom Manjushri Bodhisattva looked at the equally astonished Namo Burning Lamp Ancient Buddha and said, "Namo Amitabha Buddha, Xuanji Merit Buddha, if you wish to preach the Tripitaka Buddhist scriptures in Changsheng Town and save all living beings, then so be it if you do not go to Thunder Sound Temple to hear the World Honored One expound the Dharma. Once the World Honored One learns of it, he surely will not punish you, and may even commend you! But... but you have already brought the Great Ascension Tripitaka Buddhist scriptures to Cangxian Continent. You... why do you still seek scriptures in the West? What place is the West? And what scriptures are you seeking? Other than Thunder Sound Temple, where in this world are there scriptures worth seeking?"
Xuanji Merit Buddha Chun Zang pressed his palms together and answered unhurriedly, "Namo Amitabha Buddha. Let Rāgaratna Tathagata and Namo Great Wisdom Manjushri Bodhisattva know that when this disciple was still a child, this disciple entered Nirvana for many years. While entering Nirvana, this disciple once beheld the Western Pure Land. This disciple clearly remembers that, while entering Nirvana, this disciple traveled for several hundred years, undertaking ascetic hardship toward the west. That place is the true origin of our Buddhist Sect, the place where the true meaning of our Buddhist Sect lies!"
