After finishing the fierce battle with Steven, Shirona took a bath to ease the fatigue it had left behind. Since this was a tournament, the next battle would take place the following day. The exhaustion from so many battles could not be completely relieved in a day or so. That was why she spent as much of her limited time as possible relaxing in the tub.

"This feels good."

Cynthia stretched her legs in the tub, rested her head against its rim, and relaxed. She had enjoyed battling Steven, but it had exhausted her as well. She needed to recover as much strength as possible and get close to peak condition before tomorrow's match against Leon.

The match was tomorrow evening. Cynthia would battle Leon, the Champion of the Galar Region. He had remained undefeated ever since becoming Champion, and his formidable strength had earned him the name "the unbeatable Leon." Deciding to devise a strategy while recovering her strength, Cynthia operated the waterproof monitor installed in the bathroom and played a recording of Leon's battle against Diantha.

"Charizard is his ace."

Leon's roster was a well-balanced team, much like Cynthia's. Every member was powerful and highly skilled. Whichever Pokémon he chose, its strength was beyond what the trainers here could cultivate.

The greatest concerns were his ace, Charizard, and Dynamax, a phenomenon seen only in the Galar Region. It was a strange phenomenon that made Pokémon enormous and strengthened their moves. When Charizard used Max Power, it took on a Gigantamax form, which differed slightly from ordinary Dynamax. Gigantamax Charizard was tremendously powerful; in the footage, the shield protecting the spectator stands could be seen screeching under its attacks.

Dynamax seemed somewhat similar to Mega Evolution, but unlike Mega Evolution, it could only be performed in the Galar Region.
