Cynthia cleared her throat and changed the subject.
"Yes. There's something I'd like to ask you."
"What is it? If I can answer, I will."
"I wanted to ask you about Dynamax-"
At the mention of max power, Sonia's expression brightened slightly. Cynthia didn't know why, but she could tell this topic wouldn't tread on any of Sonia's sore spots, so she continued.
"Dynamax is a peculiar phenomenon you can only see in the Galar Region, isn't it? As I understood it, it was something unique to Galar, so why can it be used in the Kanto Region?"
The Dynamax phenomenon could only be seen in the Galar Region. Yet Leon had used max power in his battle against Diantha. Cynthia wanted to know why it could also be used in the Kanto Region.
"Well, let's start with max power. It's certainly a phenomenon normally seen only in the Galar Region. Galar particles, the substance that causes it, are abundant there. It's the effect of those particles."
"Simply put, Galar particles make Pokémon enormous."
"Yes. As their name suggests, Galar particles exist only in the Galar Region. That's why Dynamax can only be seen there."
According to Sonia, using max blast in the Kanto Region should have been impossible. Without Galar particles, there was nothing to trigger max power, so that went without saying.
"But isn't that explosive growth originally a natural phenomenon? I'm not very familiar with battles in other regions, so I don't know much about it, but how do Trainers deliberately trigger it?"
Dynamax had a powerful aspect as a natural phenomenon, yet Trainers in the Galar Region used it deliberately. There had to be something that controlled it, and
