Through the narrow gap in the tent, I saw a young Pokémon Trainer with curly purple hair passing by. When he spotted Wutong, he ran over to chat. "I absolutely love the new casual wear from Santalune Department Store! It wicks away sweat really well, and it's super stylish, too. Look! This is one of their shirts! I bought ten so I could rotate them!"
The purple-haired boy shook Wutong's hand, his eyes full of admiration. "You must be really strong to win the Santalune Department Store Tournament! I can't pass up this opportunity. Please let me battle my idol!"
But honestly, there were so many things to point out that I could go on forever...
First, Wutong had won that tournament. I had come in second.
Second, I had entered for the Flamethrower TM. I hadn't wanted to endorse any clothes.
Third, I was just an ordinary person, not an idol.
Still, I was pretty happy someone had recognized me. I wanted to answer him right away, but I had no strength, and a few coughs came along with it...
"What should we do?" Just then, Meimo, whose sleeping bag had been beside mine last night, smiled at me. "Silver, leave it to me! Turn around for a moment." I did as she said and turned my back to her. There was some rustling, and out of the corner of my eye, I caught a glimpse of Meimo's top. Wait... could she be...?
"All right, Silver, you can turn around now." Meimo stood before me in my shirt and jacket, with her hair tucked into my hat and the white Key Stone gloves on her hands. My face turned so red it felt ready to catch fire. "Now, Silver, lend me Louise and your other Pokémon for a bit!"
