Ecruteak City
"I finally made it. I've always wanted to see what the twin towers looked like. I'll register at the Pokémon Center first."
As Ash reached the entrance to the Pokémon Center, an unfriendly voice called out behind him.
"Hey, kid, move! Can't you see our boss Songbin coming through?"
Though he wasn't particularly happy about it, Ash was new in town, and the request wasn't unreasonable. He could treat it as someone asking to get past. So he picked up his pace and entered the Pokémon Center ahead of them. Songbin and his two lackeys, who had expected Ash to step aside, froze. Once the lackeys recovered, they stormed into the Pokémon Center and shouted indignantly.
"Kid, what's your problem?"
Ash looked helpless. "Didn't you ask me to move? I did. I sped up and got out of your way. At the speed you were walking, you wouldn't even have needed to stop. What's wrong with that?"
"Hey, kid! Don't make us do this the hard way. Do you even know who our boss Songbin is?"
"Nope. Never heard of him."
"Then listen up! Our boss Songbin is Morty's top disciple at Ecruteak City's Ghost-type Gym. Do you know what happens when you offend a Ghost-type Pokémon Trainer?"
The two lackeys' voices echoed throughout the Pokémon Center. Their supposed boss, standing behind them, was visibly flustered and embarrassed. Just then, the Ecruteak City Pokémon Center's Nurse Joy came out.
"Dashan, Xiaohe, are you bullying people again? Can't you see how uncomfortable Songbin is? Stop making trouble."
Dashan and Xiaohe immediately shuddered at the sound of Nurse Joy's voice. They turned around and said to her,
"We know we were wrong. Sorry, Nurse Joy."
"Hey, kid, we were wrong. Sorry!" With that, the two dashed off like the wind.
