Ability Overgrow/Unburden Role Setup, special attacker, high speed Assessment
I only just noticed that Celebi and the Grovyle evolution line were neighbors in the Pokédex...
Sceptile's body was green. It had a large tail, and the leaves growing from its wrists were as sharp as blades. The seeds on its back stored plenty of nutrients that could revitalize trees. Mega Sceptile grew green, armor-like plating on its chest, while the leaves all over its body became sharper and turned red at the tips. The huge leaves on its tail also gained sharp points. A pair of orange spheres and a pair of red spheres appeared on its back, and the pattern and coloration of its tail changed as well.
Sceptile was a Pokémon that carefully tended the trees in forests and basked in sunlight to regulate its body temperature. It was unrivaled in the rainforest, darting lightly through the jungle and leaping nimbly from branch to branch. It would pounce on enemies from above or behind, then finish off its prey with the sharp leaves growing from its arms. Those leaves were sharp enough to fell even a large tree with a single swift slash.
Mega Sceptile used its swift legs to close in on opponents. It could detach its enormous tail and launch it like a missile to attack an opponent. The tail it lost this way could keep growing back until its Mega Evolution energy ran out.
Compared with Grovyle, the fully evolved Sceptile actually had less of a presence for me personally (I hadn't watched much of the anime). The protagonists of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky went without saying, and since I always picked Swampert in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, the opponent I most often encountered was only Grovyle (the rival's starter in
