Hehe, this isn't an extra chapter. I just wanted to give all you lovely readers an update on how the book is doing. (Extra chapter tomorrow!)
First, thank you all for your continued support and encouragement. Thanks to all the love you've shown this book, it's now reached an average of 1,100 subscriptions per chapter. (Drumroll-)
For a total flop of an author whose last book had a botched ending (-scratch that), and only averaged a few dozen subscriptions per chapter when it ended, these numbers were something I'd never even dared to dream of.
Of course, right up until I asked my editor about reader retention on the 26th of last month, I was still dreaming that getting 500 subscriptions on the first paid chapter would count as a huge success...
Next, the release schedule.
Those of you who've been reading all along probably know that Guagua is still a student, so there's not much I can do about my limited output. (Sigh.) My editor asked me to post more today, saying that would make it easier to get me promotional slots...
I know that just 4,000 Chinese characters a day really isn't much, so I'm planning to try posting a little more each day while summer break is still going, and to clear the backlog of extra chapters I owe you all as quickly as possible. (Of course, I have to make sure each chapter is up to standard first.)
Since I can't post much each day, I understand if you want to let the chapters pile up before reading. I do that a lot myself, after all...
I'm stumped. I can't think of a tactful way to ask you lovely readers to turn on automatic subscriptions.
All right, I'll leave it at that.
