He stood up again and clenched his fists. At that moment, he felt a tremendous power coursing through his body, as though he could kill a Redflame Tiger with a single punch.

Jiang Feng turned his gaze toward the Redflame Tiger nearby. His three companions were already in grave danger, utterly outmatched.

Neither the three companions nor the tiger noticed that someone who should have been dead had gotten back up.

The Redflame Tiger knocked the two men flying, then lunged toward the girl, opening its bloody maw to swallow her whole.

Despair filled the girl's face. With the beast so close, she had no way to fight back and could only hold her staff in front of her.

In what she thought was the final moment of her life, she only had time to glance toward the spot where Jiang Feng had fallen.

But her heart jolted. Jiang Feng was nowhere to be seen. The bloodstains remained, and two knight's longswords stood embedded in the ground, but he had vanished.

A moment later, just when the girl thought she had met her end in the tiger's jaws, she felt no pain at all, none of the bone-crushing agony she had imagined.

The girl opened her eyes and saw a lean figure standing in front of her, his arms spread as he gripped the Redflame Tiger's monstrous jaws and held them apart.

"Jiang Feng!" The sight stunned her-the shock of escaping certain death, mingled with the joy of seeing Jiang Feng "come back to life."

"Everyone, stand back. I'll handle it."

Jiang Feng shouted, bracing his calves. With two thousand points of external spiritual power, his strength now clearly surpassed the Redflame Tiger's.

He thrust both hands forward, actually shifting the Redflame Tiger's massive body and forcing it back several steps.

Gasp!

All three sucked in a breath, stunned by the strength Jiang Feng was displaying.

Though they had no idea how Jiang Feng had suddenly become so powerful, they obediently backed away. All three were injured and had little strength left to fight.

Jiang Feng pressed his advantage. After a few running steps, he leaped high into the air, vaulted up from the Redflame Tiger's side, and landed astride its neck.

Jiang Feng clamped his legs tightly around the Redflame Tiger's neck. No matter how it roared or bucked, it could not break free. Instead, as though its very fate had been seized by the throat, it gradually began to panic.

Its neck was already relatively vulnerable, and Jiang Feng's legs seemed to possess crushing strength, as hard as steel. The Redflame Tiger felt pain and suffocation, as though its bones were about to be crushed.

Once Jiang Feng steadied himself, his fists rained down on the Redflame Tiger's head like iron hammers.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Punch after punch fell in a relentless barrage, as though he were hammering iron, drawing furious roars from the Redflame Tiger.

In the distance, the two men and the girl watched Jiang Feng's ferocious display, their mouths hanging open in disbelief.

Was this really the Jiang Feng they knew?

Hadn't the Redflame Tiger just gravely wounded him with a single blow? How did he look even fiercer now than before he was injured?

The girl stared blankly as Jiang Feng pummeled the Redflame Tiger, stunned for quite some time by his brutal fighting style.

Suddenly, she snapped out of it and hurried to the pool of blood where Jiang Feng had fallen. She pulled the two knight's longswords from the ground and threw them toward him.

The girl hurriedly shouted, "Jiang Feng, use your swords! Your swords!"

Only then did Jiang Feng remember that he was a knight.

He reached out with both hands, and guided by his spiritual power, the two longswords landed securely in his grasp.

With both swords in hand, Jiang Feng's presence took on a razor-sharp edge. He raised the blades high, and a moment later, they shone with white light as he drove them down toward the Redflame Tiger's neck.

The longswords pierced the Redflame Tiger's thick hide and sank deep into its flesh.

Roar!

The Redflame Tiger roared in wild fury. Its cry shook the mountain forest, sending leaves fluttering down from the trees.

It struggled violently and finally broke free of Jiang Feng's hold, rampaging through the woods as blood spurted from its two wounds.

Jiang Feng landed steadily on the ground, a sword in each hand.

He watched the Redflame Tiger turn and charge toward him, his eyes resolute and full of fighting spirit.

The longsword in his right hand glittered with brilliant golden light, while the one in his left trailed a ribbon of fiery red radiance. He slashed with both blades in a crossing motion, and the two streaks of light formed a Cross Slash.

By then, the Redflame Tiger was almost upon Jiang Feng. Even though it sensed the danger, it had no time to dodge.

Boom!

The Redflame Tiger's massive body was sent flying by the strike. Two bloody gashes now cut through the imposing king-shaped marking on its forehead, and broken fragments of bone spilled out with its blood.

Its terrifying roar cut off abruptly. Its enormous body crashed to the ground, unable to rise again.

As blood continued to pour out, the Redflame Tiger's life slowly ebbed away.

The sight left all three companions behind Jiang Feng stunned and speechless.

They naturally recognized the move Jiang Feng had just used: Radiant Cross Slash, a combination of the third-order knight skill Light Slash Sword and the Fourth Order skill Sunlight Slash.

Yet Jiang Feng was only at the third order. Not only had he learned the Fourth Order skill Sunlight Slash ahead of time, he could even combine it with Light Slash Sword to unleash a combined attack.

What an astonishing talent for combat!

Even some Fourth-Order Grand Knights could not execute that strike. It was a demanding test of a knight's advanced ability to divide their attention between two tasks.

Shocking!

Terrifying!

All three were deeply shaken by Jiang Feng's talent.

"Jiang Feng, are you all right?"

The girl rushed over immediately to check the injury on Jiang Feng's back. She found a large hole torn through his armor, with the clothing underneath already soaked red with blood.

Strangely, however, she found no wound. His skin was smooth, and though smeared with blood, it was clearly uninjured.

"Xinran, I'm fine. I just hit my head and passed out for a little while," Jiang Feng explained with a smile.

"But just now..." One of the men stepped forward and pointed at the blood on Jiang Feng's back, looking puzzled.

"Haha, Wang Da, the Redflame Tiger tore my armor apart with its claws, but it didn't hurt me. I just scraped myself a little when I hit the ground, and it's already healed. Luckily, I was quick enough. If its claws had caught my body, they would've torn right through my bones."

Jiang Feng laughed, concealing the truth because he had no way to explain where the system had come from.

"As long as you're all right. That's what matters." Jiang Xinran let out a sigh of relief, cutting off the two men before they could ask any more questions.

"Xinran, Wang Da, Wang Er, thank you all for staying behind to stop the Redflame Tiger. Otherwise, I would've died in its jaws."

Jiang Feng pretended to still be shaken, but he was genuinely moved. Though these three were clearly outmatched, they had stayed to resist the Redflame Tiger, hoping to rescue him without even knowing whether he was alive.

"We're all friends here. What's there to thank us for?" Wang Da said with a hearty laugh.

The four had known one another for over a year and had teamed up many times to take on missions issued by the Adventurers' Guild. They could be considered friends who had faced life and death together.

Just then, the system's voice suddenly rang out in Jiang Feng's mind.

Ding! Combat ended. Calculating rewards...
