Chapter Summaries

Madara rushed toward the Land of Whirlpools after learning that Jing Xiu and Izuna were in danger, while Black Zetsu moved to keep the brothers alive for his plans. Izuna reached the Land of Hot Water and secured a cooperation agreement, but Nara Yoshihiro warned that their return journey would be more dangerous.

• Madara gathered battle supplies and set out for the Land of Whirlpools after hearing that the Senju and Uzumaki had trapped Izuna and Jing Xiu.
• Black Zetsu learned of Madara's movements and decided to keep Jing Xiu and Izuna alive, then sent a White Zetsu toward the Land of Demons.

• Mito examined the fishing village massacre and ordered Uzumaki Ashina to block routes south as Tobirama proposed sealing escape routes to trap their enemies.

Uchiha Izuna and the Ino-Shika-Cho trio were ambushed by Uzumaki forces on the coast of the Land of Whirlpools and fought desperately to escape. The trio split up to draw pursuit away from Izuna, while a red-haired observer headed after the fleeing companions.

• Mito Uzumaki sensed Izuna and the Ino-Shika-Cho trio crossing the barrier, and Uzumaki chunin attacked them on the beach.
• Izuna fought off waves of Wind Release attacks and used Chidori, but the Uzumaki chunin anticipated the technique and nearly hit him with a Vacuum Great Sphere.

• Butsuma Senju struck Uchiha Tajima hard enough to shatter his internal organs, but Tajima used Izanagi to heal and restore his chakra before charging again.
