Today marks exactly one year since I first uploaded this book. Thank you to all my readers for your support; without it, I couldn't have kept going until today.

Novels about working behind the scenes are easy to start, but their limitations make the middle and later stages difficult to write. That's probably one reason so many novels of this kind end up abandoned.

Ninety miles is only half of a hundred-mile journey-the final step of bringing everything to a close is the hardest.

On top of that, some things have gone wrong in my life lately, leaving me mentally overwhelmed, and the updates have suffered too.

But since this is my first novel, I have to finish it no matter what, bring it to a smooth landing, and gain experience.

Finally, I'd like to let all my readers know the plan for wrapping things up: updates will continue at the usual frequency, and this book will conclude in January 2024, at around 1.6 million Chinese characters.

Thank you all again for your support. (End of chapter)
