"..."
After a brief silence, the director of the Public Security Bureau slammed a heavy fist onto the control console and roared:
"What happened? Why have all the Fifth Division's surveillance feeds cut out?! Just how much have you people in the surveillance room been taking in kickbacks? What kind of garbage equipment did you buy?!"
The few hapless technicians present broke out in a sweat, their hands flying across their keyboards in a blur. The video soon returned to the surveillance screens.
But the footage was frozen on the final moment when the Superhuman had raised his head to look at the camera.
The image on the screen no longer changed.
"Why is it this scene again? I want the live surveillance feed!"
A technician with thinning hair entered another string of commands, but still failed to change anything on the screen. Only after a long while did he say uncertainly:
"It's not a malfunction... It looks like all the cameras on the ceiling have been destroyed."
In other words, with nothing more than an upward glance, that Superhuman had blown out all five ceiling cameras, positioned at different locations and angles, simultaneously in an instant.
What kind of ability was this?
Did he shoot lasers from his eyes like Superman?
Everyone involuntarily looked at the screen, meeting those mysterious eyes once again, then all turned their gazes away.
All the electronic cameras at the scene had been destroyed. These Metropolitan Police Department bigwigs at headquarters had suddenly been left completely blind!
The director's mouth twitched, and his eyelid gave a slight jump. He hurriedly asked:
"What about communications? Can we still contact the Special Assault Team at the scene?!"
"Communications are normal!"
Thank goodness. Although the electronic cameras had been destroyed, the communications equipment was still operating normally.
