Under everyone's horrified, bewildered gazes, Kakuzu's palm pierced straight through the chest of Raijin, who was in the middle of attacking.
Raijin stared, dumbfounded, at the palm protruding from his chest.
Even the game's "pain" feedback could not snap him out of it.
As a devoted fan of the original Naruto, Raijin knew very well just how powerful and overbearing Kakuzu's "Secret Technique: Heart Extraction" was.
But didn't Kakuzu have to get close in person to extract a heart?
How could he... accomplish "heart extraction" using only a ranged method?
Yet Raijin had little time left to stand there stunned.
His vision was rapidly blurring, and his consciousness was leaving his body.
With Kakuzu taking his heart, Raijin was effectively "dying" very quickly.
Raijin had anticipated Kakuzu's next method of attack, but he had never expected it to be so "terrifying."
Before his consciousness left his body, Raijin mustered all his strength and shouted:
"Be careful, all of you! Once Kakuzu takes a heart, his strength will return to its peak..."
That was all Raijin had time to warn them of before his vision went completely dark.
The light of "resurrection," which he had long since grown used to, was already flashing before his eyes.
To the others, the scene was far bloodier and more horrifying.
Raijin's chest was pierced, and a bloody heart was ripped straight out.
Blood spurted from Raijin's mouth and nose, his mouth gaping, his face filled with despair and fury.
Azure Bird: Thunderclap beneath Raijin also vanished into smoke amid mournful cries.
Fortunately, the game's developers blurred footage of such relatively "graphic" scenes.
Even so, the sight still made the other four uncomfortable.
They had seen all kinds of gruesome deaths on the battlefield.
But dying players had their suffering cut
