In the reading room of the Library of All Knowledge, Lind spoke to Dr. Asa on the other end of the phone.
"Rest assured, Your Majesty. Our Science Institute will do everything we can to complete the tasks you've assigned us." Asa responded calmly to Lind's encouragement, neither servile nor arrogant, and made no ironclad promises.
Still, Lind was quite pleased with Asa's pragmatic attitude. Never mind Asa-even Lind himself had little confidence in what the Science Institute would be working on next.
They might well have to wait until Lind returned to Oran Island and personally joined the research. Only with his formidable strength and understanding of the mental realm might they succeed.
After hanging up, Lind quickly set aside the matter of the Awakening Potion and returned to researching the Meditation Method.
He had to admit that the Tree of Knowledge-or rather, the Library of All Knowledge-truly lived up to its reputation as the library with the world's largest collection. He found new surprises almost every day.
A book that offered tremendous inspiration for his research could turn up in the most unexpected corner.
Of course, research into mental power was ultimately a niche field. Even the Tree of Knowledge had only a limited number of books on the subject.
There were only a few dozen, and Lind read every one carefully, absorbing the knowledge within.
Even so, it took him less than a month to reach the point where he could go no further and could hardly learn anything more from those books.
