This is my first time writing a book, and I never expected to make it straight to a million characters. Although it hasn't done particularly well, I'm still pretty happy, but there's also a lot I'd like to share.
I didn't make an outline when I started this book, either. I just wrote whatever came to mind, so it went off the rails right from the start. I originally wanted to write a story about building up a territory, but as I kept writing, it turned into founding a nation and fighting for supremacy, with basically none of that territory development left.
But I didn't want to just drop it, so I kept charging ahead all the way to a million characters. And judging by how things stand now, the ending still seems a long way off. After all, there are still more than twenty years until Luffy sets sail. I'm getting to the point where I don't even know how to write this anymore.
Honestly, writing this far has worn me out a little. I feel like the current plot is completely beyond my ability to handle. I'm not controlling the plot; the plot is controlling me.
I only have a rough direction for how things will develop in my head, but exactly how they develop depends entirely on what I manage to squeeze out tomorrow. I can only hope I'll make it smoothly to the ending.
Finally, I'd like to thank everyone for your support, especially the few dozen readers on Qidian who are still keeping up with the book every day. I really don't know how to thank you. I've genuinely been touched, so here's a finger heart for you (`).
Although I'd really like to post extra chapters, I know my own abilities, so all I
