Weiss, beside him, was not nervous at all. She trusted Buggy's luck; there would definitely be no problem. If worse came to worst, she could take Buggy into another dimension to escape. They certainly would not die here.
Uranus was fast. Even with Lind's warning, only some of the Cross Guild's elite members managed to evacuate in time.
While Buggy and Weiss were talking, Uranus's laser cannon had already slammed into the Cross Guild's headquarters.
Before they could really react, the entire island vanished from the sea.
"Gulp!"
Seeing Uranus's terrifying power, Buggy could not help swallowing, then wiped the nonexistent cold sweat from his forehead.
He had just been thinking of testing whether his Destruction Energy could destroy Uranus's attack. Luckily, he had played it safe, or that test would most likely have been the death of him.
As Buggy thought this, he looked around at the Cross Guild members who had escaped. Apart from Weiss, who was still smiling,
the others were not much better off than he was. Every one of them wore a blank expression, as though they had suffered an enormous shock, which made Buggy feel considerably better.
But when he turned to look at Weiss beside him and saw the faint contempt on her face, Buggy felt rather worse again. Somewhat angry with embarrassment, he said,
"Weiss, stop standing around! Hurry up and check everyone's casualties."
Although Buggy had already taken a quick look and seen that practically all the Cross Guild's main officers had escaped, as their leader, he still needed to know the specifics.
Of course, the most important thing was to give Weiss something to do and let her know who was boss.
"Ho ho ho, all right, Captain Buggy. Just wait for my report."
Weiss offered no comment on Buggy's
