After hanging up on Lind, Zephyr hesitated over whether to tell Kong the news.
As a Marine, he felt obliged to inform Kong of the Rocks Pirates' movements, but he also felt it would change nothing and only add to their worries.
After all, Rocks would never have grown so powerful if the World Government had not been so fond of making concessions.
With a sigh, Zephyr took out his Den Den Mushi anyway.
"Admiral Kong, I've received word that the Rocks Pirates are about to take action against the other powers in the New World!"
"What should we Marines do?" A trace of helplessness crept into Zephyr's voice.
"I already know. I have my own plans for the Rocks Pirates' movements."
"Just keep an eye on Lind. Don't let him take advantage of this to stir up trouble." Kong's steely voice gave Zephyr some comfort.
Since Admiral Kong has a plan, I'll put on a good show with Lind, Zephyr thought.
Before long, five days had passed.
At the Marines' G-1 Base, a massive warship appeared in the waters outside the base.
"Zephyr! I'm here! Come on out!" Lind's arrogant voice rang through the sky.
The moment his voice faded, a powerfully built figure shot out from the island and stood before him.
"Lind, why aren't you staying put on Oran Island? What are you doing here? A Marine Base isn't somewhere you can visit whenever you please!"
Looking at the figure before him, Lind chuckled and drew the Kunpeng Sword.
"A year ago, I was no match for you. I wonder how things stand today, a year later!"
"I came to see you today to test how much I've improved over the past year," Lind said softly.
Lind had spent the past year lying low on Oran Island.
