Chapter Summaries

Good defeated the demonically transformed Morley and Ivankov by knocking them into the sea, then prepared to confront Imu. He asked Imu whether she was a man or a woman, and she let him ask without answering.

• Imu attacked the Revolutionary Army Commanders, shot Morley, and transformed him into a towering demon with an immortal body.
• Morley struck Ivankov, who also transformed, while Good inferred that Imu's demonic contracts required her targets to be injured first.
• Imu sent nightmare monsters and the transformed commanders after Good, but Good punched Morley into the sea and hurled Ivankov after him.
• Good turned his attention to Imu and asked whether she was a man or a woman; Imu did not answer.

Good fought Imu and her regenerating nightmare monsters, using Groudon’s powers and Observation Haki to overcome her Future Sight. He pinned Imu’s possessed body and, despite being unable to kill her true self, began an unsettling punishment.

• Imu attacked Good with her devil tail and bullets after he taunted her, but his shield and body withstood the blows.
• Good fought through the nightmare monsters and charged Imu, whose trident clashed with his Greatsword and whose cannon attack struck the monsters instead.

• Good shackled Gunko with Seastone and fled to the coast aboard the Groudon while Shamrock and Saint Killingham pursued.

After the worldwide earthquake and rising seas confirmed Vegapunk’s theory about the Ancient Weapons, Good headed for Egghead to seize the Mother Flame. The World Government and several other forces converged on the island as Shamrock launched an invasion of Elbaf.

• Vegapunk concluded that the stolen Mother Flame had powered an Ancient Weapon and that the seas would keep rising, while he worried over the true Mother Flame in his laboratory.
