"As the trade-off-"
At this point, the Rising Tide leader raised his hand slightly, and a small opening immediately appeared in the barrier.
He stepped out through the opening, then raised his hand and closed it around empty air. A very ordinary-looking wooden spear appeared in his grasp.
Holding the spear, the Rising Tide leader hurled it at the barrier with a very casual motion.
Then the barrier, which had withstood the Berserker's all-out attacks without so much as a mark, shattered at the spear's touch like ordinary glass.
The crisp crack brought the dazed Berserker back to his senses.
He looked at the fragments scattered across the ground with a complicated expression, filled with emotion, only to hear the Rising Tide leader continue:
"As the trade-off, as long as an attack doesn't originate from you, it's nothing more than a slightly tougher sheet of glass. It can't withstand even a moderately strong attack."
Indeed, the Berserker could tell that the spear hadn't been thrown very fast. Moreover, it looked as though it was made of ordinary wood, and it really was ordinary wood.
It was an attack even an ordinary person could have produced with their own strength.
But so what?
The Berserker still felt that the Rising Tide leader's class was far too unreasonable.
Rules! He could actually set rules!
The more he thought about it, the more terrifying it became!
If he could set up a defense I absolutely couldn't break, then naturally, he could also conjure a spear that could absolutely break through my defenses!
Wouldn't that make this class invincible?
It had both offense and defense! And Absolute Defense and true damage, at that!
This class was practically cheating!
Of course, it wasn't actually as simple as he imagined.
Defense was defense, and offense was
