• Gerard traveled to Hogwarts with the Weasley twins and Lee Jordan, then the Sorting Hat placed him in Gryffindor.
• Gerard impressed Professor McGonagall with his Transfiguration and persuaded Hagrid to take him into the Forbidden Forest, where he found spiritual herbs.
• Gerard joined Fred, George, and Lee Jordan in distracting Filch, stole the Marauder’s Map, and used it to guide their escape.
• Gerard defeated Montague in a duel and learned that Potions shared principles with his cultivation alchemy.
• Gerard excelled in flying class, researched Eastern Herbology Studies, and borrowed advanced books on potions and herbs.
• With Hagrid’s help, Gerard refined Ironwire Vine into Foundation-Stabilizing Liquid and made Three-Yang Water and Seven-Star Dew from other spiritual herbs.

Gerald advanced his cultivation, explored alchemy and talismans, and built a notebook that answered questions from stored books. At Christmas, he met Harry Potter at Privet Drive and decided to help him and capture Peter Pettigrew.

• Gerald threatened Vernon and Petunia with a fireball, and Harry realized Petunia had known he was a wizard.
