Ch. 111Saints and the Holy Infant?

Gerald captured Winslet after she attacked him and learned that she belonged to the Saints, a surviving movement inspired by Grindelwald. Winslet revealed that she had targeted Gerald because of the Holy Infant, leaving him confused about what that meant.

  • Gerald bound Winslet with magic, took her wand, and ordered Nagini to guard her.
  • Gerald questioned Winslet about her attack, and she declared her allegiance to the Saints and their ideal of ruling Muggles.
  • Winslet said the Saints’ faith had survived and tried to recruit Gerald, but he refused and continued demanding her motive.
  • Gerald threatened to torture Winslet or hand her over to Dumbledore, and she finally agreed to explain why she had tried to capture him.
  • Winslet said she had targeted Gerald because of the Holy Infant, leaving Gerald bewildered.

Ch. 112Then offer me your loyalty!

Gerald learned that Winslet served the Holy Infant Plan, which sought to combine gifted wizards’ bloodlines, and discovered that Cedric had been taken by the Rosier family. He bound Winslet to him with a Blood Contract and demanded to know where Cedric was being held.

  • Winslet explained that the Holy Infant Plan had pursued Harry Potter and targeted both Cedric and Gerald for their bloodlines.
  • Winslet revealed that she had been contacting members of the Rosier family and said they had taken Cedric.
  • Gerald rejected Winslet’s attempt to persuade him to rescue Cedric, then bound her soul with a Blood Contract.
  • Gerald asked Winslet where Cedric was, and she accused him of pretending not to care.

Ch. 113For the Greater Good!

Gerald captured Professor Winslet after learning that the Rosier family planned to abduct Cedric, then alerted Dumbledore while concealing what he knew. Dumbledore and the Hogwarts staff tracked Cedric to a farmhouse, where they confronted Aiger Rosier and Beamon Rosier.

  • Gerald learned that Winslet had planned to deliver Cedric to two Rosier family members, then stunned and concealed her in a secret passage.
  • Gerald told Professor McGonagall that he had seen Cedric being abducted, and she brought him to Dumbledore.
  • Dumbledore summoned Snape and Professor Sprout, then led them to search for Cedric while Gerald returned to Gryffindor Tower.
  • Dumbledore's Tracking Magic led the search party to a farmhouse west of Hogsmeade, where Cedric lay unconscious with Aiger Rosier and Beamon Rosier.
  • Snape confronted the Rosiers, and Beamon declared, “For the Greater Good!” before Dumbledore murmured Grindelwald's name.

Ch. 114Severus, you really are a good person!

Dumbledore and the professors rescued Cedric, but Aiger Rosier killed his sister Beamon and escaped before they could learn why the Saints had abducted Cedric. The next morning, Gerald visited the recovering Cedric and planned to release Winslet, but McGonagall told him Dumbledore wanted to see him.

  • McGonagall attacked Beamon as she reached for Cedric, but Dumbledore immobilized her and Sprout carried Cedric to safety.
  • Snape identified the Draught of Living Death, and Aiger killed Beamon with the Killing Curse before escaping by Apparition.
  • Dumbledore found that Beamon's soul had dissipated and ordered the professors to notify the Rosier family and bury her by the Black Lake if no one claimed her.
  • Gerald learned that Cedric had woken up, realized Winslet's identity as a Saint remained hidden, and visited Cedric in the Hospital Wing.
  • Gerald left to release Winslet, but McGonagall told him that Dumbledore wanted to see him.

Ch. 115Dumbledore's probing

Gerald was questioned by Dumbledore about how he had spotted the person who abducted Cedric and claimed his unusual eyes could sense hidden living beings. Dumbledore vanished and challenged Gerald to find him, leaving Gerald to prove his ability.

  • Dumbledore questioned Gerald about the cloaked figure who abducted Cedric, and Gerald said he had followed the figure but could not see their face or hear them.
  • Dumbledore revealed that the corridor portraits had seen Gerald but not the abductor, and asked how Gerald had detected someone under a Disillusionment Charm.
  • Gerald claimed that his eyes could see through obstacles and sense the auras of living beings, then described Dumbledore's aura as exceptionally strong.
  • Dumbledore vanished and challenged Gerald to find him and prove his ability.
