The instant he saw him, Edward froze. Wasn't this... that Snake of Mercury?
According to the original plot, shouldn't he be making trouble for that kindhearted doctor now, preparing for his next restart? What was going on here?
Steven sounded surprised as well. "Aaron, I had no idea your child was already this old."
Aaron smiled a little. "No, Will is a child I adopted not long ago. Will, this is Mr. Steven Green."
"Hello, Mr. Green." Like a little gentleman, Will bowed to Steven.
Steven led the Aaron family back over and introduced everyone. "This is my friend Edward and his companion, Miss Audrey. This is my good friend from medical school, Aaron Ceres, along with his wife and adopted son."
After exchanging greetings, everyone took their seats.
Perhaps it was a coincidence, though most likely not, but Will ended up sitting right beside Edward.
While Steven and Aaron ordered, Edward discreetly glanced at the child beside him, who had lived for who knew how long, and asked quietly, "What's going on with you?"
Will blinked innocently. "What... what do you mean?"
Only then did Edward realize that he wasn't actually all that familiar with this Snake of Mercury.
For a moment, he felt awkward, unsure whether he should keep asking.
"Doctor Aaron is a good man. After treating my injured leg for free, he learned I was an orphan and adopted me without hesitation. I think things are pretty good as they are."

Edward paused, then asked hesitantly, "Then today, you just happened to come along for a meal?"
"No."
He sighed helplessly. "I suddenly had a premonition today. A very troublesome fellow seems to be coming soon. I don't know whether He's coming for you or me."
"He?"
"Yep, the very fellow you're thinking of."
