The fourth time, he stole Shanks's thoughts again.
The instant the Little Man entered his hand, Edward felt a burning sensation in his palm. An invisible force seemed to try to spread into his body, but soon fell silent-this was the contaminating power of Suah clinging to the Little Man.

A cracking sound rang out.
"Enlarge, Fiendfyre."
Raging flames enveloped the Little Man. Its surface instantly turned charred black, but it was not burned to ashes.
"I knew it wouldn't be that simple."
After his mind went blank twice in succession, Shanks found that the Little Man in his hand was gone, along with his Mirror Flash ability. He was shocked and furious.
A stolen ability would come back, but if the Little Man was lost, it was truly lost!
Instinctively, he wanted to use Possession on Edward, but abruptly remembered that he had lost Mirror Flash and could not leap into Edward's pupils. Instead, he turned into a wraith and charged at Edward with a shriek.
"Off you go!!"
Edward swung his wand hard, hurling away the Little Man wrapped in Fiendfyre.
Halfway through his charge, Shanks hesitated briefly before decisively abandoning Edward for the moment and changing direction to chase the Little Man.
Edward took out his Flying Broomstick and shot off in the opposite direction at top speed. He refused to believe that Suah's Little Man had an unlimited range!
As soon as he got out of range, he would use Apparition plus a Portkey to escape back to Backlund!
