"I understand. Thank you, Mr. Sparrow."
"Remember, don't delay the move."
"All right."
Edward waved a hand, dismissing him from the study.
Watching Dubois leave, Edward found it increasingly strange. It was the same feeling he had had at the banquet last night. His relationship with Roselle clearly wasn't that bad, so why would he rather ask a "stranger" like me for help than approach Roselle?

In any case, I've now made contact with Roselle on two levels. Dubois has already served his purpose here. I can take things slowly from now on.
I have to say, this progress has exceeded expectations-thanks to that Demoness for creating the opportunity for me. Her death served a purpose, at least.
I just don't know who sent her. She actually dared to commit murder at Roselle's home. Did she simply want to kill the man she was copulating with, or was she after someone else at the banquet-Roselle, for instance?
I wonder whether Zaratul used Spirit Channeling when he turned her into a marionette, to find out her real purpose last night.
After letting his thoughts wander for a while, Edward suddenly felt empty and bored. He got up and went to the garden, listlessly circling the villa through the grounds.
Compared with when he had first moved in, the garden was now quite well tended. Many previously neglected areas had been replanted, and even in early spring, there were already splashes of colorful flowers.
What a shame. I'll be moving out in a few days.
