In his spirit form, he failed to pass through the stone door when he touched it, as though the door existed not only in reality but also in the Spirit World.

"Door Opening."

Edward thought for a moment and used the Apprentice's [Door Opening], trying to pass through again. Unfortunately, it still did not work.

"Just what you'd expect from the Abraham Family. This defense was meant for their own people."

Then how was he supposed to get inside?

Pressing his palm against the stone door, he closed his eyes and recited, "The method for opening this stone door."

The next second, he entered a hazy dream. After a long stretch of darkness, a slender hand inserted a small key into the star at the very center of the emblem, then gently turned it. Following a series of creaking gears, the black stone doors rumbled open to either side, revealing the main burial chamber within.

"A key?"

Edward opened his eyes. After a brief moment of unfocused staring, a bronze key appeared in his hand-the very key he had obtained from Emlyn shortly after transmigrating, and through which he had later met Christine.

The reason Christine had approached Edward back then was precisely this key, which was said to open the Abraham Family's treasure. But after she went to sea in search of the Laurel, the matter had come to nothing.

By the time they met again, she had inexplicably become the Mother Goddess of Depravity. He had assumed all that talk of treasure before Christine's "awakening" had been nonsense, only to actually encounter an Abraham Family "treasure" two hundred years in the past.

"Could this be the key?"

Edward knitted his brows and, imitating what he had seen in the dream, inserted the bronze key into the central star.
