Edward perked up and listened more closely.
"Just as I finished writing this entire book, I learned of Dumbledore's death. I couldn't help reflecting that although the wizards of the Harry Potter World were generally sturdy, they would still grow old, weaken, and die. And using an alchemical item like the Philosopher's Stone only granted a false immortality. So I thought, if I had transmigrated into Lord of the Mysteries instead, living forever would have been much easier."
"Then something miraculous happened. In a momentary daze, I arrived in the Lord of Mysteries World, during the Third Epoch, when the Ancient Sun God was beating the other gods senseless."
He leaned back and clasped his hands. "This time, I really did have a cheat. I possessed a god's authority the moment I arrived. That authority represented the power of the 'heart,' or 'emotions,' in the Harry Potter World-the power of 'I Think.' It looked similar to the Visionary's, but was actually more abstract and leaned more toward effects governed by causality. With enough 'imagination,' I could even take on a Pillar head-on as a Sequence 0."
"But that wasn't a good thing-because the Original Creator's consciousness awakened inside me."
Edward had heard this much from the Ancient Sun God as well.
"To survive, to resist the Oldest One's consciousness, I soon came up with a solution and quickly sought out the Ancient Sun God to establish a partnership."
"I intended to work backward from the authority I possessed to develop a new pathway, bypass the way the Oldest One originally formed in the Lord of Mysteries World, and use Harry Potter's 'I Think' power to completely digest the Oldest One's consciousness and take his place."
After listening to this lengthy account, Edward finally asked, "Then have you... succeeded now?"
"Hmm."
